John Groller

Groller, John, 93, formerly of Queens passed away July 23, 2023. Beloved husband of the late Maria. Loving and devoted father of John (Ann), Nancy Taormina (Sal) and Gary (Kathy). Cherished Opa of Katelyn and Thomas. Dear brother of Margaret Billovits and the late Adolph. John was the epitome of a family man. He loved spending time surrounded by his family and even doing the simplest of things made him happy. Many unforgettable memories were made at their many family dinners and day trips out east to go pumpkin, apple, and strawberry picking. John was a great cook and enjoyed cooking for his family. His family's favorite dish was his delicious pot roast. John had a beautiful vegetable garden filled with tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers, and lettuce. He loved to play his accordion for his family and friends, and listen to German Polka music. He was a kind, gentle, loving, happy and genuine soul. John was loved by anyone who had the pleasure of meeting him and will be forever missed. The family will receive visitors Thursday, July 27th, 5-8 pm at Arthur F. White Funeral Home, Inc., 234 Broadway, Bethpage. Funeral Service Friday, July 28th, 10 am at the funeral home. Interment following at St. Charles Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in John's memory to the American Cancer Society; Cancer.org.
