Mr. Grom was my 6th grade teacher and an inspiration. He house/baby sat for grade school friends when their parents were out of town. I always knew he was a golfer and healthy, so I thought he would outlive us all. He was a great addition to Lines School l.

Sad news to hear about Mr Grom passing away last year. I still have the golf ball he gave me in 3rd grade after the Chicago Bulls repeat championships. Thank you for the great lessons early in my life and God speed to a great person and special teacher!

John Grom was my 6th grade teacher. I remember him playing music during down time. 24 Or 6 To 4 by Chicago. He was always kind and even gave me a Barrington Broncos Mini football . He always made me feel like we had a connection. Wonderful man and spirit. RIP and my prayers and blessings go out to his family.

JD & family, I am sorry to hear of your loss. John was a really good guy. One of my coaching highlights was a team that JD played on, and John was such a big help with that team.

We are so sorry to hear of John´s passing. He was a good friend, colleague and golfing buddy. Over the years of teaching with John at BMS Prairie, we got to know him well. His sense of humor, love for his boys and their families, and his willingness to go play golf anytime were just a few of things that drew us to John. Rob and JD, we are thinking of you.
Our deepest sympathies,
Mary & Chris Stec
