John August Grom

Mr. Grom was my 6th grade teacher and an inspiration. He house/baby sat for grade school friends when their parents were out of town. I always knew he was a golfer and healthy, so I thought he would outlive us all. He was a great addition to Lines School l.

Sad news to hear about Mr Grom passing away last year. I still have the golf ball he gave me in 3rd grade after the Chicago Bulls repeat championships. Thank you for the great lessons early in my life and God speed to a great person and special teacher!

Rest in peace, Mr. Grom. I´ll always remember that the mitochondria is the powerhouse of the cell!

John was my 6th grade teacher way back at Lines School in 1974. Great man.

Mr Grom was my golf coach from1983-1987. We made it to states. He was patient and encouraging!

John Grom was my 6th grade teacher. I remember him playing music during down time. 24 Or 6 To 4 by Chicago. He was always kind and even gave me a Barrington Broncos Mini football . He always made me feel like we had a connection. Wonderful man and spirit. RIP and my prayers and blessings go out to his family.
