John Douglas "Doug" Hall Jr.

Doug Hall, Jr., age 33, passed away peacefully on January 02, 2026. Born on March 10, 1992, Doug was the devoted husband to Daniela Hall; beloved son of John Douglas Hall, Sr., and Paige Parker Hall; and a loving brother to Magen A. Hamil, husband Corey. He was a proud uncle to Samuel Douglas Hamil and was joyfully awaiting the birth of his daughter, Harlow Grace Hall. His memory will live on forever in their hearts. Doug was the grandson of Gilbert S. Parker, Jr., Patricia A. Parker, Charles R. Hall, Sr., and Lucille M. Hall. He was also cherished by his many aunts, uncles, and cousins, whose lives he touched deeply. Honorary pallbearers are Bobby Bynum, Jr. Bryan Hall, Brandon Lee, Brendon Legett, Cade Leblanc, Danny Beier, John Vinson and Taylor Guilbeau. Doug was a devout Christian, whose faith was central to his life, guiding his actions and inspiring those around him. We know he is now with Jesus. Doug proudly served in the United States Marine Corps from 2010 until his honorable discharge in 2018. During his service, he exemplified honor, integrity and dedication. He loved life deeply-cherishing moments with his loving wife, traveling, fishing, hunting, and sharing adventures with family and friends. He was witty, fun-loving and always wanted the best for everyone. He valued his mission trips to Mexico and Honduras, where he was able to provide spiritual guidance and lived out his walk of faith through service to others. In serving others, Doug found his own faith profoundly deepened, often saying that he learned far more from those he served than he could ever have given in return. His vibrant personality and generous spirit made him loved by all who knew him. Doug's kindness, strength, and unwavering loyalty touched many lives, and his legacy of love, faith, and service will be forever cherished and continue to inspire us all. Funeral services are being handled through Charlet Funeral Home in Zachary, La. Services will be at the First Baptist Church in Zachary, LA. Visitation will be from 9:00-11:30, and a celebration service will begin at 11:30 with his burial immediately after at Plains Presbyterian Memorial Gardens.
