John Hardinger Obituary
John H. "Poppa John" Hardinger Jr., of Schuylkill Haven, passed away Monday, May 2, at Orwigsburg Center, Orwigsburg.
John was born Nov. 5, 1936, in Port Clinton, a son of the late Ida (Henry) and John H. Hardinger Sr.
He was the husband of Rose Marie A. (Gaffney) Hardinger.
He was a veteran of the Air Force.
He was employed by American Argo Corp. as a supervisor and Becker Brothers Toyota.
He was a member of Orwigsburg Lions Club, Landingville Community Fire Company, Port Clinton Fire Company and Port Clinton Fish and Game.
He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting and fishing. In recent years, his greatest joy was found in spending time with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, David Hardinger, husband of Patti, Orwigsburg, Dane Hardinger and his fiancée, Gloria Bambrick, Landingville, and Holli Dreher, Schuylkill Haven; grandchildren, Stephanie Lehigh (wife of Kyle), Dane Hardinger Jr. (husband of Catie), Ryan Dreher, Kristen Carroll (wife of Jason), Megan Sprenger and Jessica Reier (wife of Michael); great-grandchildren, Devin Wommert, Sadie Lehigh, Kevin Lehigh, Maci Sprenger, Chase Sprenger, Hunter Hardinger, Hayden Hardinger, Brody Reier, Wyatt Reier and Jillian Carroll.
