John Richard Harrison Jr, "Pops," 68, of Owensboro, passed away on Thursday, November 25, 2021 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. He was born August 21st, 1953 in Memphis, TN to the late Rosemary Graff Harrison and John Richard Harrison Sr. He spent the start of his childhood in Ruston, LA, before moving to Rockport, IN. John worked in the tool & die industry where he first met his wife Gina Brown Harrison. They celebrated their 42nd wedding anniversary on November 3rd. After retiring he drove for both GRITS and Don Moore Auto Mall. John enjoyed reading, feeding his birds and squirrels, meeting with his Bellevue Baptist life group, and spending time with his family. He was a devoted father and exceptional listener. He is survived and dearly missed by his wife, Gina; two sons, Jonathan (Kristi) and Jason (Katy); his daughter, Jana Montgomery (Eric); and grandchildren, Olive, Jay, Eva, and Ellie. The memorial service will be private. Care by Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the Wendell Foster Center, P.O.
