Son of the late Edgar Jr. and Stella (Gniatkowski) Hays; brother of Nancy Austin (late, Walter); uncle of Lori Baum (William), Richard Austin (Mandy), and the late Robert Austin (surviving, Janet). Also survived by nieces and nephews.
Family will welcome friends on Tuesday from 11:30am-1:00pm at Schellhaas Funeral Home, Inc., 388 Center Avenue, West View, PA 15229, where a Blessing Service will follow the visitation at 1:00pm. Internment to follow at Christ Our Redeemer Cemetery.
John was a proud Vietnam Army Veteran.
