John Hennessy Obituary
Publish in a newspaper
of James Hennessy and his wife Hazel Hennessy. Grandfather of Amber Hennessy, Travis Hennessy, Jordan O'Connor, Rory Hennessy, Tyler Hennessy, and Jason Riley. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St Joseph Church 130 Common St Belmont on Monday May 9th at 10:30 AM. A visiting hour will be held in the church prior from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Burial with Military Honors will follow in Mt. Auburn Cemetery, Cambridge. Late U.S Marine Corp Veteran. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in honor of John's memory to the Disabled American Veterans Charity www.dav.org.

So many treasured memories involving Jack from the 70s and 80s during his days as a counselor at BC. He was also a neighbor for a time. Jack was one of a kind; someone who would always brought smiles and lightened the mood in any situation. He had a knack for the clever quip and always made me laugh. He also helped my brother out as a student transferring to BC. We just looked him up hoping to get back in touch. Our loss. We just hope he didn't suffer. What's for sure is we'll always remember Jack fondly.

A unique personality with so many memories form CYO basketball at Sacred Heart Watertown, Boston College High School basketball, Cambridge YMCA and Holy Cross Crusader basketball. The Hawk assisted countless basketball players and others throughout his counseling days at Boston College and then in Veterens Services. May he be at peace.
