John Hoff, age 60, of Alexandria, Minnesota passed away on Friday, July 26, 2024 in Ocala, Florida.
John was born on October 1, 1963, at St. Luke’s Hospital in Fargo, North Dakota. He graduated from KMS High School in 1982 and furthered his education at Wadena Tech. Graduating at the top of his class in Electrical.
John was united in marriage to Terri Nelson on July 30, 1983, at Scandia Lutheran Church. To this union two children were born: Nathan and Nicolle.
During his career as an Electrician John worked for Runge’s Electric and Sid’s Electric until he became a Master Electrician. From there he started Total Electric of Alexandria with a partner in 1992. In 2004, he decided to start his own family business, Tri-County Electric with his son, Nathan. Together with their team they wired many houses and commercial buildings throughout the tri-state area.
John enjoyed spending time with his family, loved outdoor cooking from smoking meat to homemade pizza. He loved spending winters in Florida as he was an avid golfer. He had a passion for unique vehicles and driving fast. He always told it how it was and loved joking around with friends and family. He was known for his big laugh. There was never a dull moment when he was around.
John is survived by his loving wife, Terri of 41 years; son, Nathan (Amber) of Garfield, MN; daughter, Nicolle (Paul) of Gillett, WY; grandchildren: Lilli, Dylan, Payton, Gracie, and Roman; mother, Darla & stepfather, Silas; siblings: Scott, Brian, Wayne, Brent and Yvette.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Kelly; brother, Bradley; uncle, Billy; grandparents: Bill & Lois Sisco.
John will be forever missed by his family and friends.
Services to honor and celebrate John's life will be held at Anderson Funeral Home and Crematory located at 659 Voyager Drive NW, Alexandria, Minnesota. There will be a Visitation on August 1, 2024, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM which will continue on Friday August 2, 2024, from 10:00 AM followed by a Funeral Service at 11:00 AM. Burial will take place at Lake Ida Cemetery in Alexandria.
As we come together to celebrate the life of John Scott Hoff and find solace in the memories we shared with him. May his soul rest in eternal peace.
