John Hollingsead, 66, of Centralia passed away Tuesday, April 19, 2022, at his home. He was born on December 17, 1955, the son of Ray and Glennys Holloingsead in Salt Lake City, Utah. He married Patricia Smith on January 7, 1982, in Centralia and she survives in Centralia.
Along with his wife of 40 years, John is survived by his mother Glennys Hollingsead of Mount Vernon; son Tyler and wife Tommie Hollingsead of Centralia; daughter Leslie Gambill and husband Jason of Centralia; and grandchildren Donovan Gambill, Adrianna Gambill, Nola Gambill, Ember Gambill, Kaiden Hollingsead, and Jameson Hollingsead.
John was preceded in death by his father Ray Hollingsead; his sister Sue Ann Hollingsead; his brother Lenny Hollingsead; and his daughter Jordan Hollingsead.
John was a retired journeyman out of the Ironworkers Local 392 in East St. Louis. He loved time spent fishing and mushroom hunting. John was an avid football fan, who cheered on his favorite team, the Denver Broncos.
A celebration of life service will be held at a future date by the family. Memorials may be made in John's honor to the Family's Wishes and will be accepted for the family at the Irvin Macz Funeral Home 234 S Elm St. Centralia, IL 62801.
