Mr. John Samuel Houston, 74, passed away on November 13, 2025, in Ponte Vedra, Florida.

Born on July 4, 1951, in Darby, Pennsylvania, John was the son of the late George and Elizabeth Houston (nee Charnley). He is also predeceased by his brother George Houston; and sisters, Carol Harrison and Elizabeth Houston. He is survived by his wife, Rosemarie (nee Heyer); his daughters, Alexandra Kim (Anthony), Kerstin Steiner (John); grandchildren: Hannah Kim, Sarah Kim, Nicholas Steiner, Catherine Steiner; sisters, Joyce Houck and Patricia Zippi; and nieces and nephews.

He graduated from Ridley High School as a member of the Class of 1970. Shortly after completing his education, he answered the call to serve his country when he was drafted into the United States Army.

Following his military service, John earned an Associates degree from Delaware County Community College and built a long, dedicated career as an instrument technician in the oil refining industry. Over the course of 36 years, he brought skill and commitment to his work, earning the respect of colleagues and contributing meaningfully to a vital field.

John's greatest pride and joy came from his family. He was a devoted husband to the love of his life for 52 years, Rosemarie, and a loving father to his daughters. His role as grandfather brought him immense happiness; he cherished time spent with his four grandchildren.

In addition to his professional accomplishments and family devotion, John found fulfillment in coaching his daughters' youth sports teams at Brandywine Youth Club. These moments reflected his deep involvement in their lives and his desire to support them in every way possible. He enjoyed traveling with his wife, spending time in Panama City Beach, and watching the Philadelphia Eagles as an avid fan.

John will be remembered for the steadfast love he gave to those closest to him-as a husband, father, grandfather, and friend.

May his memory bring comfort to all who knew him.
