Bob Unger was born on April 20, 1931 in Jamaica, New York and died peacefully on November 5, 2025, at the McGraw Center for Caring, surrounded by his family.

Bob served in the Air Force during the Korean war and returned to New York University here he graduated with a BS in Marketing and Management. Bob entered the advertising business in New York City and moved upward in several agencies during the next 8 years to Vice President, Creative Director and Agency Principal.

In 1972, he met his wife, Kathryn, when she answered the Agency's ad in the New York Times for a Media Coordinator. They married in 1973, moved to Atlanta, and launched Unger Associates, Inc., a full service advertising agency which grew from it's Atlanta headquarters to branch offices in Washington, D.C. and Los Angeles. At the age of 45, while living in Atlanta, Bob fulfilled his lifelong dream of earning his private Pilot's License and spent many happy days flying the Cessna around the Southeast.

The 25-year-old Atlanta based Agency was successfully sold in 1995 whereupon Bob and Kathryn retired, moved to Ponte Vedra Beach, where they continued to enjoy their travels around the word, played golf, and enjoyed the friendship of the many new friends they met as members of Sawgrass Country Club

Bob also served on the Board of Governors of Sawgrass Country Club, FROG (Friends of the GUANA), BRASS, and served as a Guardian Ad Litem, working with the Department of Children and Families.

Bob leaves behind his beloved life partner and wife of 52 years, Kathryn; his two daughters, Marjorie Wallach (Brad) of Falls Church, VA and Karen Unger, of Long Beach, CA; three granddaughters, and two great grandchildren.
