John Perry Hubbard of Harrisburg departed this life on Monday, March 16, 2026, at the Advanced Care Hospital of White County, in Searcy, at the age of 73.
He was born April 13, 1952, in Harrisburg, the son of the late Marvin Abner Hubbard and Mary Lynn Dillon Hubbard.
John was lifelong resident of Harrisburg. He married Lonnene Whitlatch on May 25, 1979, and they enjoyed 47 years together. John was an avid Razorback fan and enjoyed all sports. His passion was his family. He was a great father and grandfather and Lonnene’s true soulmate. He will be greatly missed by Buddy, his loyal dog. He worked on Hubbard Farms and also drove a truck, long haul, for many years. John was of the Baptist Faith.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a cousin, Donald ”Bubbie” Hubbard. John is survived by his wife of 47 years, Lonnene Hubbard of the home, one son, Rhett Hubbard, and his two sons, Kason Hubbard and Kylynn Hubbard, all of Harrisburg, two brothers, Clark Hubbard and Clay and his wife, Karen, Hubbard, all of Harrisburg, one sister, Robin Banks of Jonesboro, one special cousin, Sharmon Loggins of Harrisburg and all of the Lindsey family who were his second family.
A Tribute of Life Visitation will be at the Lake Poinsett Park Pavilion on Sunday, March 22 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. All are invited to come and share with the family during this special time of reflection. No service is scheduled.
