John M. Huddleston, age 40, of Howard, SD, died Friday, Feb. 21, 2025, at Sanford USD Medical Center in Sioux Falls. Inurnment will be at a later date in Arkansas. Willoughby FH is handling the arrangements.
John was born December 23, 1984 to the late William Michael Huddleston and Michelle Berkey Huddleston in Little Rock Arkansas.
At the age of 14 Magan Herron and Samual Collins took him under their wing as their own and finished raising him as a teenager and a young adult.
In 2011 he met the love of his life Melany Vehmeier. They traveled all around the US until 2016, in 2016 they found their life in Howard South Dakota where he lived out the rest of his life.
John had many jobs, John was a cologne sales man in Little Rock Arkansas, he was the top manager at Sonic in South Little Rock Arkansas, He managed Dairy Queen in Russellville Arkansas. He loved spending his free time with his K9 companion Vegeta, and fiancé Melany. He loved his 2 children dearly and spoke of them often. He really enjoyed spending time with his nephews and Brother Noah.
He is survived by his fiancé Melany Vehmeier from Howard South Dakota, Adopted Parents Magan Herron Howard South Dakota and Samual Collins Delaware Arkansas, a son Jace Huddleston Bryant Arkansas, a daughter Taryn Huddleston Bryant Arkansas, two brothers Ak Sayvongsa(Annie) from Fort Smith Arkansas, Noah Collins from Howard South Dakota. Two Sisters Gina Huddleston from Little Rock Arkansas and Marlena (Koy) Collins from Brookings South Dakota. Four nephews, Leland and Rhett Collins from Howard South Dakota, Bryson Norgaard and Baby K from Brookings, South Dakota. His best friends John Herron from Howard, South Dakota and Dennis O'Lone from Vilona, Arkansas. And so many good homies from down south in Arkansas.
He was preceded in death by his Father, Mother, Grandparents and his loving K9 companion Vegeta.
