John Hutchinson

Hutchinson, John, - 81, of Galloway, Born in Camden, NJ, he was the son of Walter and Veronica Hutchinson. He is survived by his beloved wife of 42 years, Rev. Joan Hutchinson. He is also survived by his children Ken Hutchinson, Clarence Wilson (Kathy), Jeannine James, Pamela Cernjul (Elvis) and grandchildren Ansley Cernjul, Justin James, Aubrey Mitchell, and Veronica Hutchinson. He was a graduate of Merchantville HS, 1959, Peirce Jr. College, and earned a BA in business from Rutgers University. John also served in the United States Air Force. He retired from Cigna Insurance Company after 24 years as a computer programmer. In retirement, he worked as a consultant for AT&T until 2000. He was a resident of the Four Seasons of Smithville for the last 21 years, where he enjoyed golf and playing cards with friends. For many years, John enjoyed traveling and cruising with his wife, Joan. He was an active member of the United Methodist Church serving as a lay leader and lay representative for Annual Conference. John was also a founding member of the Walk to Emmaus Garden State.

A viewing will be held on Wednesday, January 19, from 4:00-6:00 at the Wimberg Funeral Home, Galloway. Thursday January 20, viewing 10am to 11am followed by a funeral service will be held at the Haddonfield United Methodist Church at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at the Atlantic County Veterans Cemetery in Mays Landing.
