John Jackiewicz Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Vander Plaat Funeral Home - Wyckoff on Aug. 23, 2024.
John Francis Jackiewicz, 81, of Franklin Lakes, died on Thursday, August 22, 2024. Born in Fort Monmouth and grew up in Jersey City. He lived in Ridgewood and Mahwah before returning to Franklin Lakes in 2023.
John was a Vice President of Cash Management Sales at Citibank for 30+ years after graduating Fordham University in the Bronx. John was hard-working and dedicated. In his position, he traveled the world and then, retired. Despite his many responsibilities, he always made time for his family, which was his top priority.
Though John may not have liked being the center of attention, he deserves to have his long years of fatherly love honored. He was a man of love, kindness, and generosity, and he left a lasting impact on everyone who knew him.
He was predeceased by his wife of 57 years, Rachel Theresa Jackiewicz. He is survived by his three daughters, Annmarie Jackiewicz, Denise Braithwaite, Rachel Jackiewicz, son-in-law Allen Braithwaite, two step grandchildren Paige Braithwaite and Chelsea Braithwaite and his sister Barbara (Frank) Tuohy, and his brothers Joe (Mary) Jackiewicz and James (Geri) Jackiewicz.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm on Sunday, August 25, at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home, www.vpfh.com, 257 Godwin Avenue, Wyckoff, NJ.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:30 am on Monday, August 26, at St. Paul's RC Church, 200 Wyckoff Ave, Ramsey, NJ.
Interment will follow at Maryrest Cemetery.
We find comfort in knowing that Dad's legacy lives on through the lessons he taught us, the extraordinary love he shared, and the memories we will cherish forever.
