John Alan Jacobs, 77, passed away on October 25,2025. He was born on March 26, 1948, to Betty and Sam Jacobs in Atlanta.
He graduated from the University of Georgia and worked for Ford Motor Credit Corporation for 30 years. While living in Atlanta, Alan was a member of the St. Elias Antiochian Church.
Alan is survived by three sons Jonathan Jacobs, Samuel Jacobs (Arielle), and Alexander Jacobs; sister and brother-in-law Donna and Turk Fritts of Dublin, Ohio, and niece Kelly Mayer (Brian) of Powell, Ohio; his grandchildren Elizabeth and Pete Jacobs and numerous extended family members.
He is preceded in death by his parents and his nephew Brian Fritts.
A prayer service will be held on Thursday, November 6, at 10:00 followed by a funeral service at 11:00 at St Elias Antiochian Orthodox Church at 2045 Ponce De Leon Ave NE, Atlanta, Ga 30307. The interment will follow at Westview Cemetery, 1680 Westview Drive SW, Atlanta Ga 30310.
