John Raymond Jarboe, 48, of Whitesville went home with the Lord Saturday, April 6, 2019 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. His devotion to his family and his firm belief in God supported him in his struggle and ultimately gave him peace. John was born December 16, 1970 in Daviess County to Johnny and Margaret Edge Jarboe. He had many loves within his life but his greatest were Jesus, his beautiful wife and two sweet boys and his family. John was called to preach and had the privilege of doing so at Dundee and Beech Valley United Methodist Church. He was also a registered nurse employed at Springs Urgent Care. One of John's greatest joys was sharing all of his loves. His passions were preaching, hunting, smoking meats, NHRA, and attending KISS concerts. Mr. Jarboe was preceded in death by his grandparents, John Raymond Jarboe and Gola Mae Rogers; Earnest "Skinny" and Georgia Edge; Henry W. and Gladys Ralph. Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife of 14 years, Meredith Cecil Jarboe; two sons, Jack and Braydon Jarboe; parents, Johnny and Margaret Jarboe of Whitesville; brother, Adam Jarboe (Krista); nephews, Colby, Sky, and River Jarboe all of Reynolds Station; father and mother in-law, Joseph and Diann Meredith Cecil of Owensboro; brother and sister in-law, Shaun and Cheri Cecil and their children, Trevor and Caitlyn Cecil also of Owensboro; several aunts, uncles, and cousins. The funeral service for John Jarboe will be 10:00 am Wednesday, April 10 at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory with Bros. Eddie Harpole and Adam Jarboe officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday from 2:00 until 7:00 and Wednesday from 9:00 until time of service. Burial will follow in Newton Springs Cemetery, Fordsville. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to an Educational Trust for Jack and Braydon Jarboe at Independence Bank. "Our thought's and prayers are with you all and praying that god's holy spirit would comfort in days to come. I enjoyed working with and sharing with john about our lord and savior Jesus Christ at Aleris. John's faith and witness was very evident in his daily walk with the lord and was a welcomed enjoyment for many at work."

Privileged to have known him for the last 6 months but immediately knew he was a good man, man of God and loved his family. Truly showed what it means to have Grace and Peace thru Christ no matter what. Awesome testimony for God. Pray for peace and strength for his family knowing he is walking with the Lord today and they will get to see him again one day. May Gods arms comfort the family at this time.

So sorry for your loss..Johnny was a awesome guy!! Adam an I had a blast listening to him chew us out for being crazy... Cancer is a poison that no one but God can understand. I know in my heart that Johnny never questioned God while going through this. I know with all the family we have sick with this poison it is so hard to stay positive. Just remember God doesn't give them the disease he gives you the strength to handle it... He will be dearly missed by all.
