John W. Judson

John W. Judson, 65, of Worcester, passed away with his loving family at his bedside, in the comfort of his home on Wednesday, October 18, 2023.
John is survived by his loving wife, Margaret M. (Ford) Judson; a daughter, Jessica Kathman of Worcester; two sons, Michael Mirra and his wife Kristine of Blackstone, and Jeffrey Mirra of Worcester; a sister, Barbara DePalo and her husband Morris of Shrewsbury; five grandchildren, Tori, Joshua, Faith, Damien, and Christopher; nieces and nephews. John was born in Worcester, son of the late William W. and Eleanor P. (Kender) Judson. He grew up in Shrewsbury and graduated from Shrewsbury High School in 1976. He later moved to Worcester and has lived here for many years.
John worked as an employment facilitator for Open Sky Community Service and retired in 2021. He had previously worked as a food safety coordinator with United Natural Foods Inc. John was a motorcycle enthusiast and especially enjoyed his Harley Davidson. He was a member of Brown Square Civic Club and The Worcester Dart League and enjoyed playing guitar and spending time with family and friends. John was proud of his home and enjoyed caring for his yard.

Calling Hours for John will be on Monday, October 23, from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. in MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation Street, Worcester. His Funeral Service will be held in the funeral home at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, October 24. Interment will follow at Saint John's Cemetery, Worcester.
