Joel was born on October 11, 1956 in Worcester, son of the late John and Nancy (Bacchiochi) Chioda. He was a 1974 graduate of Shrewsbury High School. He worked at Stop & Shop as a grocery bagger for twenty years bringing smiles to all the shoppers. He very much enjoyed listening and dancing to music, especially 60’s and early 70’s and current pop. As a life-long resident of Shrewsbury, he was deemed as “The Mayor of Shrewsbury.” Everyone in town knew him and they all loved him. His favorite thing to do in town was to go to Dunkin Donuts and socialize with everyone. Being social and friendly were his top attributes. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
