Mildred Giumentaro Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Chiampa Funeral Home on Dec. 11, 2025.
Mildred J. "Millie" Giumentaro, 94, of Shrewsbury, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 7, 2025, at home surrounded by her loving family.
Millie was born on June 19, 1931, in Shrewsbury and was the cherished daughter of the late Salvatore and Julia (Spartani) Giumentaro. She was a lifelong resident of Shrewsbury and graduated from Shrewsbury High School in 1948. Millie worked for over 34 years as a contract administrator for Raytheon Company. She was a well-liked and respected co-worker and was known for her dedication to her job and her kindness to others. One of the benefits of her job was that she was able to see many parts of the country and world. She enjoyed meeting new people and encountering different cultures. After a long career, she retired in 1992.
During her retirement years, Millie was able to spend winters in St. Petersburg, FL. Besides travelling to warmer climates, Millie enjoyed supporting the local Boston sports teams, especially the New England Patriots and Boston Red Sox. Her greatest love was for her family, and she truly loved time spent with them. She cherished dinners with family and was happiest when surrounded by loved ones. She was also a member of St. Anne's Church in Shrewsbury, and her Catholic faith was an integral part of her life.
Millie is survived by her nieces Carol A. Mazzola of Shrewsbury, Pamela Berard of Millbury, Maureen Londergan of Shrewsbury, Sheila Swan of Colorado, Vicki Hostetler of Shrewsbury, and Lisa Eddy of Shrewsbury. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her nephews Richard Maloney, Francis Ursoleo, and Glenn Toscano and her siblings Joseph Giumentaro, Mary Grosso, Eleanor Dowd, Rose Maloney, Rita Toscano, Bertha Tomaiolo, and Phyllis Ursoleo.
Millie will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew and loved her. In keeping with Millie's wishes, private funeral services will be held for immediate family only.
