Deborah Lynne Spiro

Deborah L. Spiro, 65, of Worcester and formerly of Shrewsbury, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, at home surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved daughter of Eva (Alex) Spiro and the late Nicholas Spiro.
Deborah was born on August 17, 1960, in Worcester. She grew up in Shrewsbury where she graduated from Shrewsbury High School. She then continued her education at Assumption University and pursued her goal of becoming a nurse by attending St. Vincent's School of Nursing.
Deborah was a nurse at St. Vincent's Hospital in Worcester for over 40 years. Being a nurse was not just a job for her; it was her passion and vocation. She was known for her kindness, compassion for others, and easy-going presence. She had a unique way of being able to put her patients at ease and was a calming influence on them, especially in difficult situations. She was dedicated to her patients and was well-liked and respected by her co-workers.
Deborah enjoyed shopping and also traveling. She loved seeing different parts of the country and world and meeting new people. Her greatest love was her family, and she cherished spending time with them and organizing family gatherings. She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew and loved her.
In addition to her mother, Deborah is survived by her aunt Helen Demetri of North Reading and her cousins Greg and Scott Demetri of North Reading.
