Vincent DiLiddo Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Britton-Shrewsbury Funeral Home on Feb. 13, 2026.
Vincent "Vinny" DiLiddo, of Boylston, Massachusetts passed away on Thursday February 5th at the age of 85 while holding the hand of his loving wife and surrounded by family. He was born in Worcester Massachusetts and was the son of Vincenzo DiLiddo and Josephine (Formiconi) DiLiddo.

Vinny was the beloved husband of Dorothy "Dottie" (Kent) DiLiddo with whom he shared 62 years of marriage. He was the devoted and endlessly supportive father of Kellie Diliddo, and twins Dena Hartmann and Darin DiLiddo, the loving father-in-law of Don Hartmann and Jill Alden, and the cherished grandfather of Kiefer Hartmann, Haylee Splaine, Dominic DiLiddo, Brianna DiLiddo, and Franco DiLiddo to whom he was affectionately known as Papa. He also leaves numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family. He was predeceased by his siblings Anthony DiLiddo, John DiLiddo, Angelina Olson, Elizabeth Kirby, and Joseph DiLiddo.

Vinny attended Worcester Boys Trade School, was a graduate of Commerce Hight School, and attended Worcester Industrial Technical Institute. He was honorably discharged from the National Guard of Massachusetts. Vinny received the one million miles of safe driving award from Red Star Express Trucking and retired after 32 years as a driver. He was a member of The Eastside Improvement Club, The Italian American Veterans Club - Post 3 and the Biscee Club in Worcester. Vinny was a lifelong parishioner of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church.

He was known for his animated story telling, great sense of humor, loyalty, strength, and resilience. He was bigger than life and lived it to the fullest. Vinny always left an impression and memorable to all that crossed his path. He and Dottie were avid travelers and loved to entertain. Many of his stories derived from his travels and childhood shenanigans. He worked as hard at home as he did at work. He built their home up from a lakeside cabin into a family compound. He was always easy to find by the fireplace during the winter or pool in the summer. He was adored and respected by his children. They were always more than proud to call him Dad and never missed an opportunity to spend time with him.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital (http://fundraising.stjude.org/goto/VinnyDiLiddo).

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Vinny's family between 12 NOON-3:00PM on Saturday, February 21, 2026, at the BRITTON-SHREWSBURY FUNERAL HOME, 648 Main Street, Shrewsbury, with a prayer service to begin at 3:00 PM. Burial will be held at a later date.

Yesterday

I always felt welcome and a part of the family from the day I married your niece. You made everyone around you smile and laugh at the many stories you shared. The world is a little sadder today. You will be missed always. Jim Denaris
