POSTPONED
Due to the significant winter storm forecasted, visitation and service have been rescheduled
Jacqueline "Jackie" Lois (Weaver) Moore, 93, of Millbury, passed away peacefully into the arms of the Lord on Saturday, January 10, 2026, at Care One of Millbury. She was the loving wife of the late Thomas Wilfred "Willie" Moore.
Jackie was born on December 17, 1932, in Boston and was the cherished daughter of the late John M. and Edith J. (Reynolds) Weaver. She attended and graduated from Girls' High School, where she was elected President of the Class of 1950. She was an honor roll student and served as an officer of both the Latin and French Clubs.
Jackie worked for several years in the cafeteria at Wilson Jr. High School in Natick. She was loved by the students, as she always had a smile and kind words for them. Jackie later changed careers and became a sales representative for Pendleton Jewelers, and then for many years worked at Jordan Marsh/Macy's in the Ladies' Fashion Department. She was an effective and knowledgeable salesperson who was always willing to go the extra mile for her customers. In 1997, she retired after a long and successful career so that she could take care of her newly born grandson Will, and later his brother Sam.
It was in her role as grandmother that Jackie truly shined. She loved each one of her grandchildren and was devoted to them. She loved watching them grow up, supported each of their endeavors, and had a positive impact on their lives. Jackie also enjoyed counted cross-stitch, and many of her stitched pieces adorn the homes of her family and friends. She also enjoyed reading, traveling on guided tours with her longtime friend Madeline Devlin, and spending summers on Newfound Lake in New Hampshire with her lifelong childhood friends Stevie and Kenny Floyd.
The foundation of Jackie's life was her firm and unwavering faith in Jesus Christ. She was a born-again Protestant Christian who gave her heart and soul to God and accepted Jesus as her Lord and Savior at a Billy Graham Crusade in 1950. Jackie always put her faith into practice and never wavered in her commitment to the Lord. It gives her family great comfort knowing that she is now resting eternally in the loving embrace of God. Her legacy of love and faith will continue in all who knew and loved her.
Jackie is survived by her children Jay Alan Moore and his wife Betsy of Northborough; Wendy Lou Richardson and her husband James of North Carolina; and Tracy Anne McDuffie and her husband Michael of Millbury; her grandchildren Christopher Richardson and his wife Amy of California; Thomas Wilfred "Will" Moore and his wife Alex Crowell of New York; Samuel Carl Moore and his wife Emily of Webster; Ashlyn Moore of Northborough; Xavian Gary McDuffie; and Jacob Raymond McDuffie both of Millbury; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She was predeceased by her sons Gary Bruce Moore and Wayne Jeffrey Moore.
Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend a period of visitation at the Chiampa Funeral Home, 5 Church Road, On the Common, Shrewsbury on Sunday, February 1, 2026 from 11:00 am - 1:30 PM. Funeral service will follow. Private interment will be held at The Gardens at Gethsemane Cemetery, West Roxbury.
