With very sad hearts we announce the passing of Martha O'Brien Richards on Sunday, February 8, 2026, from complications of kidney disease.
Martha was born in Danvers, MA to Wallace and Barbara O'Brien. Later moving to Dexter, ME where she graduated high school and worked at a family business and other retail establishments.
After moving to Shrewsbury with her husband Steven, who she nicknamed "love bucket" she worked management for several gas stations-convenience stores earning a top reward for sales.
Marty was known for her outgoing personality and love for family, friends and fun. Her interests include camping, motorcycling and travels north.
Martha leaves behind her devoted husband, Steven, along with her siblings in Maine: her brothers, Chuckie (Terry) and Tim O'Brien and sister, Jeannie Corkran; many nephews and nieces; her aunt, Sue (Jay), and many cousins. She will also be missed by her in-laws, Billy, Carol, Nancy and Tom (Robin) Richards and their families; her stepdaughter, Jessica Richards and step grandchildren, Isabella and Bentley Richards. Marty also sadly leaves her best friends, Cheri and Mike Fanning of Grafton, whose friendship she truly treasured. Besides her parents, Martha was predeceased by her stepson, Steven Richards Jr. and her in-laws, Joan and Jack Richards
