Nancy E. (Pettinella) Brindisi, 95 of Worcester, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 6, 2026 at UMass Medical Center.
Born in Worcester on December 11, 1930, daughter of the late Camillo and Concetta (Lattanzio) Pettinella. She graduated from the former Commerce High School, Class of 1950. Nancy applied her mathematical prowess to various account billing and payment roles for several businesses across her career and retired as a Principal Clerk from the Worcester Public Schools Administration Office. She was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel and Our Lady of Loreto Parish. Nancy was a Boston Red Sox, New England Patriots, and Tom Brady fan. She was an outstanding cook, known especially for her meatballs and apple pie, and was devoted to her family.
Nancy was predeceased by her beloved husband, Frank R. Brindisi, who passed away on January 7, 1977. She is survived by her loving son, Frank R. Brindisi (Jr.) of Alexandria, VA.; a loving sister, Joan Aslanian and her husband Richard of Worcester; three nephews, Gregory, Scott and Christopher Pettinella. She also leaves many loving Brindisi family nieces and nephews. Nancy was predeceased by three brothers, Anthony, Ferdinand, and Rocco Pettinella and a sister, Elizabeth Pettinella.
Relatives and friends are invited to calling hours on Monday, February 16, 2026 from 6:00-8:00 pm in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St., Worcester. Her funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, February 17th at 10:30 am in Our Lady of Mount Carmel and Our Lady of Loreto Parish, 37 Massasoit Rd., Worcester. Burial will follow in St. John’s Cemetery, Worcester. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to: Veterans Inc., 60 Grove St., Worcester, MA 01605 and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
