John Katsihtis

John Katsihtis departed this life on August 30, 2022 at the age of 95. John was born in Sparta, Greece on June 23, 1927. He and his family lived in the Chicagoland area for over 60 years. John was most recently a resident of the Greek American Rehabilitation and Care Centre in Wheeling. John is the beloved husband of the late Betty, nee Caralis, and the loving father of the late Marianna. John loved his family and friends, conversations over coffee and playing backgammon. John served in the military in Greece, and retired after over 25 years with Zenith Electronics Corporation. John is survived by a brother, sister-in-law, cousins, nieces and nephews. Visitation and Funeral Services will be held at St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church, 893 N. Church Rd., Elmhurst on Tuesday, September 6, 2022 starting at 10:30 a.m. Interment to follow at Elmwood Cemetery in River Grove.
