John Keblesh Obituary
Mogadore - John Keblesh, 90, passed away Sunday, January 14, 2024, at Kentridge Senior Living.
John was born April 27, 1933, to John and Anna (Polachek) Keblesh in Barnesboro, PA and has been an Akron resident since 1952. He was a veteran of the Army serving during the Korean War. He was a truck driver and dock worker for his entire career.
He was a faithful member of St. Michael Byzantine Catholic Church until it merged with St. Nicholas Byzantine Catholic Church. He was a member and former Secretary of GCU branch 644 and a member of Mogadore VFW Post 8487 and was an associate of the sisters of St Basil. He was also a member of the former Rubber Capital Harmonica Club, Parma Eparchial Choir, and the St. Michael Rosary Society.
John is survived by his beloved wife, Patricia (nee Onisko) and many nieces and nephews. Their greatest honor was as parents of Rev. Fr. John Keblesh whose too brief vocation included pastor of St. Emilian BCC in Brunswick until his untimely death in 2003. He is also preceded by siblings, Joe, George, Helen, Catherine, Anna, Mary, Verna, Margaret, Julia and Evelyn. His sister-in-law Irene survives as well as many nieces and nephews.
Funeral (Panachida) services will be held Wednesday, January 17, 2024, at 11:00am at the Anthony Funeral Home, 1990 S. Main St., Akron OH 44301 Fr. Miron Kerul-Kmec' officiating. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery next to Fr. John. A luncheon will follow at the Anthony Funeral Home Community Room. All are invited. In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Emilian Byzantine Catholic Church, 1231 Substation Road, Brunswick, OH 44212.

Uncle John is my husband Mark's uncle/godfather. Uncle John was a wonderful man and a joy to have in our lives. We are thinking of Aunt Patty at this difficult time for her. Rest in Peace, Uncle John.
