John King Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Clovis Funeral Chapel & Cremation Services on Mar. 6, 2026.
John Henry King, born Johnny Henry King, passed away on February 22, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family.

John was a proud graduate of Clovis High School, Class of 1960. It was there that he met the love of his life, Sherri Elizabeth King. High school sweethearts, they were married on June 8, 1962, and shared more than 63 devoted years of marriage built on love, loyalty, and deep commitment. Sherri was the joy of his life and his constant companion through every season.

John's greatest pride was his family. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend whose steady presence and quiet strength shaped generations. He showed his love not just in words, but in his consistency, his reliability, and in simply always being there when he was needed.

John was a devoted Christian and a true believer in Jesus Christ. His faith guided his life, anchored his marriage, and shaped the way he loved his family. He lived what he believed, quietly and faithfully, trusting the Lord in every season. His legacy lives on in the faith he modeled, the values he lived by, and the enduring love that continues to strengthen the family he cherished.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Sherri Elizabeth King, and their three children:

· David Allen King, married to Julie King; and their children, Caitlin King and Bryce King.

· Ronald Duane King, married to Tracie King; and their children, Joshua King, Kayla King, and Jacob King.

· Susan King Hatmaker, married to Doug Hatmaker; and their sons, Ryan Hatmaker, married to David Hatmaker, and Carson Hatmaker, married to Hannah Hatmaker.

He is also survived by his brother, Ricky King; his sister-in-law, Terri King (widow to John's brother Garland); and his nieces and nephews: Don King, Cindy Toews, Robbin Branch, Kelly Carinio, Ruben King, and Travis King.

John was preceded in death by his father, Ruben King; his mother, May King; his brothers, Granville King and Garland King; his sister-in-law, Diane King; and his niece and nephew, Shelly King and Matthew King.

A graveside ceremony will be held on Saturday, March 14, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at the Clovis Cemetery. John's family welcome everyone to a reception following the service. Details will be provided at the ceremony.

The family takes comfort in knowing he now rests in the presence of his Savior.
