Janice Holman Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Clovis Funeral Chapel & Cremation Services on Mar. 6, 2026.
Dr. Janice L. Holman (1958-2026)

Dr. Janice Lee Holman, beloved wife and mother to two children, 68, of Visalia, California, passed away in Clovis, California on February 24, 2026, leaving a void her family cannot fill.

She was born in Delano February 18, 1958 to Clara Brown and Jessie Jacobs, and grew up with her six siblings - her being the middle child. Janice attended San Jose High School before studying at San Jose State University, where she earned her Bachelor's Degree in Radio-Television in 1981. She would also meet her Husband Glenn, who would happen to share the same major in college as her.

Upon graduating she went to work for a publishing company, where she first gained exposure to the publishing world and found her passion. She would eventually pursue publishing full time and started her own publishing company. Jireh Publishing was formed in 2000 and over the span of 25 years she published numerous christian books.

Publishing was not her only passion. She decided to continue her education, earning her Master's Degree in Education in 2007 from Cal State East Bay. Later, she became a pastor with her husband Glenn Holman, starting their own ministry Mamre Christian Center, under San Jose Word of Faith Christian Center - founded and led by Apostles Willie and Sharon Nutt. Combining her passion for ministry and education, she then went on to start an online bible college; Mamre Christian Bible College (MCBC). In 2020 she earned her Doctorate Degree in Philosophy with a distinction in Theology.

Over the years she had the opportunity to evangelize and minister abroad, and got to witness the power of God move through the lives of others internationally. These countries included Jamaica, Zimbabwe, United Kingdom, South Africa, and Kenya.

Janice was a devoted wife to Glenn, loving mother to Sam and Daniel, and mother-in-law to Britney. She was a devout follower of Christ, Minister, Educator, and Entrepreneur. Janice took special joy in spreading the Gospel, invoking a deeper understanding of the Word of God, and teaching biblical literacy. Above all she loved to motivate and push others to achieve their goals, and was a strong believer that it's never too late to get a degree. She has inspired so many people over the years through her dedication to her family, church, colleagues, friends and students. Janice is truly missed and will forever be an inspiration to us all.

Janice was preceded in death by her mother Clara Mae Brown, grandmother Fannie Mae Brown, brother Robert Murray, sister Jessie Jacobs, sister Judy Wilson, daughter-in-law Britney Holman and is survived by Husband Glenn Holman, son Sam Holman, son Daniel Holman, brother Larry Murray, sister Shelia Sapp, sister Shirley Wilson, cousin Fannie Lee Factory, niece Shauna Murray, nephew Jimmy Turner, nephew Brandon Turner, nephew Larian Murray, niece Anavya Janai Turner who will never forget the love she brought to their lives.
