Kochanowski, age 81, of Rome, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 14, 2024, at the Wynn Hospital.John was born in Utica, on December 27, 1942 to the late Walter and Margaret Bassett Kochanowski. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy and was honorably discharged in 1963. On May 14, 2011, he was united in marriage to the former Suzanne Freson. He worked for several years as a window installer throughout the area.John is survived by his loving wife, Suzanne; daughter, Elizabeth Morgan; sons, Charles and Michael Kochanowski; step-daughters, Diane Siler, Vicki Seymore, Penny Hamblin, and Karen Houghton; grandchildren, Ashley and Kaley Morgan, Cassie and Lily Siler, Shannon and Emily Harrington, Sarah Lust, and Kenneth Jr., Brandon, and Daniel Seymore; and two great grandchildren.The family would like to extend a special thank you to Richard Hamblin for his help caring for John, and to the staff at the Wynn Hospital for their care and compassion.Funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family.Arrangements are entrusted to the Barry Funeral Home, 807 W.
