John E. Kostrzewa, 59 of Chicago's Jefferson Park and Mayfair neighborhoods after a brief illness entered into eternal life August 16, 2025. Beloved husband of Melissa for 33 years. Loving father of Kristopher and Colette. Dear brother of Jeanne(Michael) Morrelli, Karen and Suzette Kostrzewa. Dearest uncle of Courtney, Anthony and Jonathon Morrelli, Serena(Virgil) Bonifazi, Samantha Raimonde, Kalina and Nina Rees. Cherished son of the late Kenneth(Victoria) and the late Jacqualine and son-in-law of the late Barbara and David Rees . Fond friend to many. Longtime Sergeant of Cook County.

Memorial mass is 12PM, September 6th, 2025 at St. Williams, 2600 N. Sayre, Chicago, IL, 60707.
