Patrick Garrett Rodriguez, age 41, passed peacefully in his sleep on August 17, 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Born in Utica, New York, on June 6, 1984, Patrick was a long-time resident of Hanover Park, Illinois. He is survived by his devoted wife of nearly seventeen years, April (nee Tidwell); their two young children, Henry and Charlotte; his brother, Timothy Rodriguez, and wife Carolyn. Patrick was preceded in death by his parents, Francisco and Mary (nee Fitzgerald) Rodriguez.

Patrick graduated from SUNY Albany with a Bachelor of Arts in History and a minor in Anthropology. He built a successful career in project management and took great pride in his work with AAR Corp., a global aerospace and defense company headquartered in Wood Dale. After bravely overcoming esophageal and stomach cancer in 2024, Patrick was hopeful and determined to forge a new path with the company before the cancer tragically returned in early 2025.

Having a true passion for music and stock car racing, Patrick loved attending concerts and visiting various local race tracks. Whether it was a weekend race, camping, or an impromptu road trip, he found joy in the company of those he loved, always seeking to create lasting memories with the people who meant the most to him.

Above all, Patrick will be remembered for the deep devotion he had for his family. As a father, he was selfless and always present—his love for Henry and Charlotte knew no bounds. His easy going nature, infectious sense of humor, and warm spirit endeared him to all who had the privilege of knowing him. Patrick will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
