John J. Krahe (Jack), age 93, of Chagrin Falls, Ohio, beloved husband of Nancy (nee Flath), passed away Friday, July 26, 2024, holding the hand of his devoted wife of 71 years. Dear father of Tom (Marguerite) Krahe, Shannon (Fred) Arner, David Krahe, Mark (Kathy) Krahe, and Kathy (late Gary) Kovach, dearest grandfather to 14, and great-grandfather to 22. He was born on February 5, 1931, son of the late Louis and Agatha (Siegel) Krahe. Jack was a brother to Geraldine (Lindsey) and Joann (Pamin) and the late Marybelle (Messmer), Kathleen (Fiorenzo), Don, Norm, and Lou Krahe. Veteran, U.S. Army. Jack was a Certified Public Accountant and owned his own business in Cleveland, Ohio until his retirement. He was a devoted and religious family man who always made them his highest priority. He frequently shared his avid love of card games, mostly pinochle, with his family, and poker with his friends, at the Solon Senior Center. A gambler, he was also known to have spent some time at the casino with his wife, Nancy, playing the "nickel slots". Friends and family are invited to a Memorial Mass Friday, August 2, 2024 at 11:00 AM, preceded by visitation at 10:00AM, at the Church of the Holy Angels, 18205 Chillicothe Rd, Chagrin Falls, Ohio. Private interment with Veterans honors in Erie, PA will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Cystinosis Research Foundation, 19200 Von Karman Ave, Suite 920, Irvine, CA 92612.
