Nancy H. Krahe

Nancy H. Krahe (nee Flath), age 94, of Bainbridge Twp., Ohio, beloved wife of the late Jack, dear mother of Tom (Marguerite) Krahe, Shannon (Fred) Arner, David Krahe, Mark (Kathy) Krahe, Kathy (late Gary) Kovach, dearest Grandmother to 14 and Great Grandmother to 22. Nancy was born on July 31, 1931, the only child of the late Howard and Elma (Hammerman) Flath. She grew up in Erie, PA, graduated from Academy High School, attended Behrend Center and graduated from Edinboro State Teacher’s College. As an elementary school teacher, she applied her nurturing ways, dedicating her life to creating a loving home for her husband of 71 years and her family. Nancy had a deep love for her Church of the Holy Angels Parish from its beginning, initiating the Christmas angel trees which display an ornament from each member of the parish. She had an extraordinary gift for fostering deep, lasting relationships with those around her and enjoyed time together playing cards, golf, bowling and casino bus trips.

Family and friends are invited to a Memorial Mass on Wednesday, August 13, 2025, at 11:00 A.M., preceded by visitation at 10:00 A.M until time of Mass at the Church of the Holy Angels, 18205 Chillicothe Rd., Chagrin Falls, Ohio. Private interment for both Nancy and Jack will be held at Laurel Hill Cemetery, Erie, PA. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Cystinosis Research Foundation, 19200 Von Karman Ave., Suite 920, Irvine, CA 92612.
