It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved father John S. Krokos on March 19, 2025.
John was born in Ikaria, Greece, and at 15 years of age settled in Northeast Ohio.
Beloved husband to Frances for nearly 70 years. Loving father to Greg (Peggy) and Marianne (Rick).
Proud grandfather to Kalie and Hannah (Steven) and Godfather to Karen (deceased) and Audrey.
John dearly loved his family and friends and was proud to have served in the US Navy. He was an avid fan of all Cleveland sports teams.
John was a proud member and supporter of St Paul Greek Orthodox Church.
Preceded in death by his parents Sarantos and Marianthi, by brothers Ross (Ann), Mathew (Areti) and Gus (Popi, surviving) and sisters Joanne (Sam) and Athena (Tony, surviving).
Survived by his sisters Sophie (Sam, deceased) and Vicki (Paul, deceased), as well as many nieces and nephews that adored him.
John will always be remembered for his good sense of humor, gentleness, and kindness. He will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
