John Michael Kryvanick

John Michael Kryvanick, age 89, passed away on Tuesday, January 6, 2026. He was a native of Jersey City, New Jersey and a long time resident of Houma, Louisiana.
John is survived by his wife of 44 years, Elizabeth Redmond Kryvanick; children, Marie Holmes, Jonathan Caro, Mark Kryvanick, and Jennifer Kryvanick Hebert (Brad); grandsons, Jean Luc and Jacque Hebert; and sister, Kay Kryvanick.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Michael J. and Florence Moreno Kryvanick; son, Michael Kryvanick; and daughter, Mary Jane Eisenberger.
John was an avid train enthusiast and a member of The National Railway Historical Society. He was a proud Navy Veteran and a member of the American Legion Post 380 of Chauvin. He loved listening to operas and classic rock and roll.
The family would like to thank the Bayou Cane medics and firefighters, Sean and Iyana from STAT Home Health, the wonderful and caring staff of the Critical Care Unit of Thibodaux Regional Medical Center, the amazing employees of Haydel Hospice, and caregivers Shareka Kennedy and Eva Fitch. Thank you to all the friends and family who offered prayers and well wishes throughout his long illnesses.
Services will be held on Saturday, January 10, 2026, at Maria Immaculata Church in Houma. Visitation will begin at 9:00 am until the Funeral Mass at 11:00 am. Burial will take place in St. Francis de Sales Cemetery II.
