Michael Anthony Plake

Michael Anthony Plake, 61, a native and resident of Terrebonne Parish, passed away on Friday, January 9, 2026.
He is survived by his father, Charles Plake; siblings, Victoria Billiot (Harold), Wilma Plake, Naomi Plake, Christina Deon, Joey Deon, Scotty Henry, and Torie Henry; and many extended family members and dear friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Joyce Henry; paternal grandparents, John "J.T." Plake and Perrie Plake; maternal grandparents, Claude Henry and Victoria Henry; aunts, Dorothy Case, Catherine Case, Vivian Haynes, and Shirley Hebert; and uncles, John Plake and Edward Henry.
Michael will forever be remembered as a kind and gentle soul that never met a stranger. He was always prepared with a great joke and would light up the room with his smile. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, listening to Elvis, playing the guitar, and spending time with family. Michael cherished his family and his fur babies, Bella and Bingo. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 14, 2026 at Samart Funeral Home in Gray from 10:00 am until the Funeral Service at 12:00 pm. Burial will follow at Garden of Memories Cemetery.
