John Albert Kvam, Jr.

Age 73, passed away November 27, 2025.

Preceded in death both both parents, John and Dorothy Kvam.

John (Jack) was always so brilliant with music. Back when he played piano and guitar, he was terrific with rock, blues and jazz. In the early 1970's John performed often on the West Bank in Minneapolis, where many great legendary musicians toured the coffee houses and bars. He had an encyclopedic mind, and could remember everything. He was 'grand central station' when it came to tracking all the soccer events or as the Europeans say it, football teams.

Being a great conversationalist, he would elaborate to tell a good story, which came in useful when he drove taxi. John had two college degrees, in history and as a drug counselor. Those who knew him thought he was so very kind. He is now with our parents, Dorothy and John. Rest in Peace, brother Jack.

Survived by his brother Steve (and wife Peggy) and his sister Randi (husband Geoffrey and his niece Laura). John has a daughter Melissa, who lives on the West Coast.
