Gerald Lamey, age 77 was born on October 26, 1947 in Dauphin Island, AL and passed on May 13, 2025 at his home in Mobile surround by his loved ones. He served the citizens of Mobile County for 38 years before he retired from the Mobile County Sheriff's Office in 2004. His love for serving others will always be remembered.
Gerald is preceded in death by; his mother, Madelaide Lamey; and his father, John Henry Lamey Jr.
He is survived by his loving wife Linda and his sons and daughters, Gordon (Trecee) Strickland, Sharon Strickland, Terry (Ronnie) Gardner, Jason (Beth) Lamey and Christine (Jeffrey) Hilburn. along with his brothers and sister; Gary (Kathleen,) Lamey, Randy Lamey Sr., Buster Lamey, and Carla Lamey along with his grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.
Gerald's funeral services will be held on May 19, 2025, at 12 P.M; at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home with Pastor Calep Lewis of the Cowboy Baptist Church officiating. Burial will follow in Mobile Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be help prior to the service on May 19, 2025, from 10 A.M. to 12:00 P.M., at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home.
