John W. Lanphere Jr., 62, of Interlaken Florida and currently of Conewango Valley, NY, passed away on Thursday, October 9, 2025 after an extended illness in the emergency department at Mercy Hospital in South Buffalo, NY
John was born November 10, 1962 in Jamestown, the son of the late John W. Lanphere Sr. and Lucinda Mae Covey Lanphere. He attended Cassadaga Central School.

Following retirement, he moved to Florida, where he loved sitting on his dock fishing, until he decided to move back to New York to be with his family after becoming Ill. John had good friends, especially Jeff Wright, who would always call or visit with him and also Rob Green that always brought John his amazing cooking creations.
He is survived by love of his life and caregiver; Marjorie (Waterhouse) Lanphere of Conewango Valley, NY, with whom he shared a home, four daughters; Angela Blood, Lacey Ray, Crystal (Gordon Ellis) Waterhouse, Amber Lanphere and bonus child Shyann Arnold.
