Beloved husband of Toby (nee' Fink) Laping. Devoted father of Linda (Benn) Konner, and Steven Laping (Lisa Joubert) Loving grandfather of Erik, Charlotte, Holly and Finn Konner; Cole, and Joshua Laping. Memorial service will be held on Thursday at 11 am at Temple Beth Zion, 805 Delaware Ave. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to Temple Beth Zion, Jewish Family Service, or Canopy of Neighbors. Arrangements under the direction of AMHERST MEMORIAL CHAPEL LLC.

John was a wonderful, kind man. I worked at kidneys when I was pregnant. John made sure I had a ride home so i didn't have to take the bus. I will never forget his kindness. God blessed me by knowing John.

Toby and family,
We are saddened to hear of John's passing. Simply stated, he was a class act - prominent in his profession and in the community, a gentleman and a caring individual. It was always a pleasure to see him. We are out of town but our thoughts are with you.
