John Charles LaPrad, aged 67, of Lincoln Park passed away on June 12, 2024. Born on October 1, 1956, to Charles and Norma LaPrad, John was the eldest of seven children. His parents and his brother, Thomas LaPrad who passed away in 2020, preceded him in death.
John leaves behind his beloved siblings: Janet (Kinney) Hammock, Linda (John) Cullen, Dianna LaPrad, Robert LaPrad, and Terri (Robert) Swingle. He was also the cherished brother-in-law of Jon (Darvi) Moore.
Since 1982, John shared his life with his loving spouse, Tammy Cruz, whom he married in 1990. Together, they created a home filled with love and joy. John was a devoted uncle to his nieces and nephews: Tomi, Haley, Andrew, Anna, Zachary, Krysta, Ashley, and Spencer (Niccole).
John's heart was also filled with the love of his six Chihuahuas and four cats, who brought him endless companionship and happiness.
An avid hunter, John celebrated his birthday on the opening day of deer season, a testament to his lifelong passion. He participated in both rifle and bow seasons, with bow hunting holding a special place in his heart. Each year, he eagerly traveled to Charlevoix to hunt with his dear friends Buddy, Doug, and Jerry, creating countless memories and bonds that lasted a lifetime.
John's love for the outdoors, his dedication to his family, and his enthusiasm for hunting defined his life and brought joy to those around him. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Cremation will take place in the care of the Solosy Funeral Home.
