John F. Last

Weehawkin - John F. Last, age 71, passed away on Saturday, September 27, 2025 at his residence. Born on September 1, 1954 to the late John and Joan (Povelaitis) Last, John was raised in New York City, New York before he moved to Weehawkin in 1976, where he has lived most of his life. He was one of three sons. He had been employed as a dispatcher for Scotty's Taxi in Cliffside Park. John enjoyed cooking and especially liked going to kosher delis. He had a huge soft spot for cats and loved all of his feline companions. Although John lived in the city area, John loved to visit his family in Sussex County, where he felt peace and joy in nature and rural life. He had a deep appreciation for the quiet beauty and calmness of the countryside. He is survived by his sister, Michelle Last of Wantage and many nieces and nephews.
