John Peter Leaf

John Peter Leaf, 90, passed away on November 30, 2025 at his home in Lindsborg, KS. John was born on December 28, 1934 in Wichita, KS to the late Carl Stanley and Caroline (Peterson) Leaf.
John earned a Bachelor's Degree in business. He served as a pilot in the United States Navy. John had a career in sales. In retirement he drove a bus for the Smoky Valley Public Schools. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Salina, KS.
John enjoyed gardening and working in the yard. He was also a dog lover and an avid K-State fan. Throughout his life, John was physically active. He enjoyed running, walking, and generally being outdoors.
John is preceded in death by his parents; brother: Stanley Leaf; and sister: Carolyn Johnson.
John is survived by brother: Roland Leaf of Spearville, KS; his faithful friend and lifelong companion: Joyce Shields of Lindsborg, and his nine nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held Friday, December 5, 2025, 10:30 AM at Crick-Christians Funeral Home in Lindsborg, KS, with Pastor Mark Boxman officiating. There will be visitation at the funeral home from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the funeral. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery in Lindsborg, KS. A light lunch will be served at the Crown and Rye (back room) on Main Street.
