John had an infectious smile that made all of us smile with him. He also had that mischievous grin that meant he was going to say something funny or that he was going to tease you. My kids loved and respected John because he had so much enthusiasm, energy and he made learning fun. My neighbor Dave Hennan loved John; they taught together and were part of a wonderful group of AMS teachers.
We extend our condolences to Pam, we saw the pictures of the two of you catching salmon and the smiles were as wide as the salmon were long. John will be missed!Love, Joyce, Jeff Schlecht

I was so sad to hear, today, of John´s recent passing. John and I worked together at both the Ashland Middle School and Ashland High School. I remember well he found a true love in his sweet Pam, who I also worked with. John always had a big smile on his face and a kind word. He always contributed positively to the work environment and he will be greatly missed but well remembered. My deep sympathy to Pam and his family who he always spoke highly of and cared about deeply.

So sorry to hear of John´s passing. I have many fond memories of the time I spent with John. He helped me navigate several parent issues when I was AHS varsity volleyball coach and he was the Frosh coach. He always made sure his athletes had fun competing. He had a positive impact on many of our community youth - including each of our four kids. The few times I had the opportunity to fish the Rogue with John was a boat load of laughs and a fishing education. My thoughts and love go out to Pam, Natalie, Cameron and to all of John´s loved ones. My condolences, John Weston
