John Orin Lilly

John Orin Lilly, 84, of Colorado, passed away peacefully on July 12, 2025, in his home.Born on November 4, 1940, in Colorado, John lived a life full of curiosity, passion, and quiet strength. He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Ramona Lilly, and his parents, Leonard Lilly and Mary Frazier.John is survived by his devoted stepchildren, Lisa and Mike Jr., and his cherished step grandchildren: Ocean, Aspen, Michael III, Gabriella, Robbie, Ryan, Presley, Dominic, and Jamison, and his Lilly Family. His love for his family was constant and deep, and he took great pride in each of them.A lifelong Coloradoan, John found joy in the outdoors, especially skiing and hiking in the mountains he called home. He had a creative eye for photography and a deep appreciation for technology, often spending hours exploring computers and learning new things well into his later years.John retired from a successful career at Lockheed Martin, where his dedication and work ethic left a lasting impact. After retirement he worked part-time at Home Depot and brought his expertise to the plumbing department.His calm presence, quiet humor, and deep wisdom will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.A private family service will be held in accordance with John's wishes. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the ALS foundation or to a cause close to your heart.
