John Andrew Robertson

John Andrew Robertson, 87, of McDonald, passed Saturday, June 14, 2025. He was born November 25, 1937, in McDonald, a son of Thomas and Mary Benard Robertson. John was a graduate of McDonald High School Class of 1955. He worked as a assistant postmaster in McDonald for 32 years, from where he retired in 1992. On July 11, 1970, he married Ruby Jane Robertson, who passed July 14, 2021. Mr. Robertson attended Cross Connections Alliance Church in McDonald. He was a former tax collector in McDonald for several years. He enjoyed hunting with his sons, playing softball, golfing, running, and walking on the Panhandle trail. Surviving are three children, Scot (Jen) Robertson of Illinois, Greg (Megan) Robertson of North Carolina, and Gayle (Michael) Jesse of Burgettstown; and six grandchildren, Alex Jesse, Addie, Lyla, Shelby, Andrew and Tyler Robertson. Deceased are three sisters, Jean Hannan, Isabelle "Izzy" Wilson, and Mary Campbell; and four brothers, William, Henry "Herk", Alex and Thomas Robertson. Family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, June 17, in Graff-Nation Funeral and Cremation Service LLC., 220 E. Lincoln Avenue, McDonald, PA 15057. Services will take place at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 18, in Cross Connections Alliance Church, 210 Valley Street, McDonald. Interment will follow in Robinson Run Cemetery.
