JOHN N. LOGAN Mr. John Logan of Okawville, IL departed this life at his residence on Friday, August 1, 2025, at 1:43 P.M. following a sudden illness. He had attained the age of 82 years, 9 months, and 16 days. John was born in St. Louis, MO on October 15, 1942, the son of Garner and Pearl Logan. He was united in marriage to Barbara Wiseman in East St. Louis, IL on February 18, 1966, and she survives his passing. Mr. Logan was a veteran of the United States Army. John worked as a switchman for Terminal Railroad for his entire adult life until retirement. In fact, John had to miss his high school graduation due to the fact that it was his first day on the job at the railroad. John and Barbara loved camping and traveling. John also enjoyed playing his guitar and was a talented artist. He even had some of his cartoon drawings published. John also volunteered as a Cub Scout leader in Okawville for many years. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family. Left to mourn his passing is his wife Barbara Logan of Okawville; four children, John Logan and wife Amanda of Okawville, Gary Logan of Dupo, IL, Adam Logan of Shiloh, IL, and Aaron Logan and wife Louise of Sparta, IL; eight grandchildren; two great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, and a host of friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by five sisters and a brother. In accordance with the wishes of John and his family, cremation will be performed. A service to celebrate John's life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of the donor's choice and will be accepted by the Campagna Funeral Home.
