John M LoPresto, 79, of Wood Dale, died peacefully on October 15th, 2024. Born October 29, 1944, in Loma Linda, California. He served with pride in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He was the husband and best friend for 52 years to Lucille (Lu); Loving son of the late Martin and Serafina LoPresto; Dear brother to Nancy LoPresto (Bill Hamlin) and Lorraine (the late Ron) Ross; Fond brother-in-law to LaVerne (Cass) Donato, the late Ray Belluomini, Corrine (the late Albert) Belluomini, Gerry (Jack) Sharkey, and Sandy (the late Wayne) Martin. He will be missed by his nieces and nephews who meant everything to him: Linda (Rich), Craig (Margie), Brian (Diane), Dean (Maria), Dennis(Julie), Michelle (John), Kevin (Suni), Michael (Karen), Dan (Kathy), Scott, Kerry (Jeff), Michael, John, the late Michael (David) and the late Darren; his great nieces and nephews Mary (Casey), Michael, Craig, Jack, Jake, Jacquelyn, Tom, Jill, Anthony, Taylor, Dylan, Zack, Johnny 5, Darren, Ryan, Alyssa, Julianna, Sean, Ashley, Joseph, Ethan, Michael, Luke, and Grace and his great-great nephew, Johnny 6.
Visitation Friday, October 25th from 3:00-8:00 p.m. and Saturday October 26th from 8:00am until time of Funeral Service 10:00 a.m. at The Oaks Funeral Home 1201 E. Irving Park Rd (at Prospect), Itasca. Interment following at Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Hillside. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation or the Gary Sinese Foundation.
